Nan took me to a Rock and Roll concert on the 5th - last night - it was the band "That'll be the day" I drove down at lunchtime and we just chatted before getting ready to head out and pick up nan's friend Julia. We then headed into town for a Nando's for dinner which I know nan was really looking forward to as she was saying for a while how Worthing had a Nando's. Then we headed over to the pavilion where we went in and they played a bunch of songs from the '50s, '60s, '70s (not my fav I didn't know most) and '80s. We heard Breaking up is hard to do, some cliff Richards and beach boys, shout by Lulu, the song from Matilda (Little Bitty pretty one) and Footloose - loved that- Waterloo and of course we heard That'll Be The Day by Buddy Holly. and See ya later alligator. It was a lovely evening and even walking down the beach promenade seeing the full moon behind the clouds and the reflection on the sea was just amazing.
Then today Saturday nan and I had a morning chilling out and had the coronation on in the background cause although we didn't particularly care at all it was cool to see something historical.

And I personally loved seeing how they actually spoke about BSL and how to access that!!
Nan and I then went for a subway lunch and a mooch around Tesco to get nan some bits and bobs then went back home and had a chat. She told me about grandad, and his time from 2-15 in Wales. She told me about her sister Joyce and how we would have gotten on as she loved the Ballet and knitted and crochet so well. I had a lovely time at nans and really treasure the relationship I have with her.
